Yorkshire Rose Academy of Dance (YRAD) is an established specialist Ballet school in York, providing high-quality training for children and young people from 2½ years upwards.
Our inclusive and engaging classes nurture strong classical technique, artistry, confidence and a lifelong love of dance.
Students are encouraged to achieve their individual potential while developing friendships, resilience, discipline and self-belief in a warm and supportive community.
Students have opportunities to take Royal Academy of Dance examinations, perform on stage and take part in additional training opportunities, alongside private Ballet lessons.
Established in 2013, YRAD is led by Principal and Founder Kerry Whitfield, who trained at and later worked for The Royal Ballet School.
YRAD is so much more than just a dance school, my daughter has made the best of friends and as well as providing excellent training, the teachers ensure it is a safe, supportive and nurturing environment that she is thriving in. She just loves her YRAD family!

Kerry Whitfield is a dedicated and talented teacher, who succeeds in inspiring each and every one of her students to be the very best dancer they possibly can be.
